Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how OrthoLine (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the OrthoLine mobile application (the “App”).

1. Summary

OrthoLine is designed to work locally on your device.

This version of the App does not use user accounts, cloud servers, online databases, analytics systems, advertising systems, or in-app purchases.

We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data, patient data, images, measurements, documents, or other content created or stored by the user in the App.

2. Data Stored in the App

The App may allow users to create, import, store, edit, or export data such as:

  • patient-related records entered by the user;

  • images, X-rays, cephalometric images, or other clinical materials imported by the user;

  • measurements, notes, analysis results, or exported files;

  • app settings and user preferences.

This data is stored locally on the user’s device. It is not sent to servers controlled by OrthoLine.

The user is responsible for the content entered into the App and for ensuring that they have the necessary legal basis, permissions, or patient consent to store or process such information on their device.

3. No Data Collection by OrthoLine

We do not collect the following data through the App:

  • names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contact details;

  • patient data or medical data;

  • photos, X-rays, documents, or exported files;

  • device identifiers;

  • location data;

  • analytics or usage statistics;

  • advertising identifiers;

  • payment or billing information.

The App does not track users and does not use third-party advertising or analytics services.

4. Local Storage and Device Backups

Data created or imported in the App remains on the user’s device unless the user decides to export, share, copy, back up, or transfer it.

Depending on the user’s device settings, Apple iOS may include app data in device backups or other Apple system services. Such processing is controlled by Apple and the user’s Apple ID/iCloud settings, not by OrthoLine.

Users can manage device backup settings in iOS settings.

5. Exporting and Sharing Data

The App may allow users to export or share files, images, reports, or other data using iOS system functions or third-party apps selected by the user.

When the user exports or shares data outside the App, that data may be processed by the selected app, service, email provider, cloud storage provider, or recipient. OrthoLine is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services chosen by the user.

6. In-App Purchases and Payments

This version of the App does not include in-app purchases, subscriptions, user accounts, or payment processing.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for direct use by children.

If the App is used by a professional user to store or process information relating to minors, the user is responsible for ensuring that such use complies with applicable laws, professional duties, and consent requirements.

8. Security

Because the App stores data locally on the user’s device, the security of the data depends in part on the security of that device.

We recommend using device-level security measures such as a passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, encrypted backups, and appropriate iCloud or backup settings.

No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

OrthoLine does not retain user data on its own servers.

Data stored in the App remains on the user’s device until the user deletes it, deletes specific records or files, or removes the App from the device.

Deleting the App may delete locally stored app data from the device. If the device is backed up, copies of data may remain in backups controlled by the user or by Apple system settings.

10. GDPR Information for Users in the European Economic Area

OrthoLine does not collect, transmit, or store personal data from the App on servers controlled by us.

If you contact us by email or through our website, we may process the information you provide, such as your email address, name, and message content, only to respond to your request and provide support.

The controller for such support-related communication is:

Alexander Rusak

We do not use support messages for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

Support-related messages are retained only for as long as necessary to respond to the request and maintain reasonable support records.

Users in the European Economic Area may have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Because OrthoLine does not store App data on our servers, we cannot access, correct, or delete data that is stored only locally on the user’s device. Such data can be managed directly by the user on their device or within the App.
